Recently Lipton changed all their Iced Tea To Go flavors from sucralose sweetening to aspartame. They still taste fine, but the “new and improved” versions give me a blood sugar spike that makes me tremble.

Bummer.

I switched to Kroger’s brand of the same stuff,… it is still sweetened with other-than-aspartame sweeteners. It doesn’t taste quite as good as the Lipton used to, but at least I don’t feel like I am coming apart after I drink it.

  • Over the last couple of months I’ve been trying several different brands and flavors of the individual powder beverage mixes. Of all of them this one I liked the least. Besides the flavor being weird to the point of yuk, they tried for Citrus but got something almost, kinda sorta, but not quite like Citrus and landed right next to gag on YUK.

All of the 4 different Lipton flavored beverage mixes that I tried do not mix well. After you empty it in the bottle of water you can shake it till your dizzy and your arms are tired and it will still have gobs in the bottom that didn’t dissolve. When I finish using up what I have I WONT be waisting my money on any more of it.
  • I love the convenience of this product!! I don’t have to store–or recycle–the plastic bottles, it’s completely portable and tastes as good as the already prepared version. What’s not to like??
  • There is no need for a slush mug or a slushie machine to make a delicious ice drink. Simply pour one packet of drink mix into a 16.9-ounce water bottle and shake well. Then put it in the freezer for a few hours or more if needed. Then shake vigorously and enjoy. I find this drink mix doesn’t dissolve as well as other mixes but you just have to shake it up a bit more than normal. No this isn’t as good as the bottled drink you probably got addicted to but it is less sweet and makes bottled water taste way better. I’d like them to make the tea flavor a bit stronger. Perhaps if enough people write reviews about it they will change the formula.

I first found and became addicted to Lipton Green tea with honey and lemon in the glass bottle 5 years ago . I’m not a huge tea drinker. I tried the other flavors of Lipton in the bottle that were nowhere near as good and even other brands of green tea that never did it for me. This stuff has the perfect light flavor with that twist of lemon and tang of honey. It’s just an incredibly refreshing mix, but kind of expensive at 1.49 a bottle. I tried to save money by making my own green tea using the Lipton green tea bags and sugar and adding my own honey and lemon. Too much work and didn’t taste quite the same. I then tried to buy the bottles in bulk, but could never find a supplier. And then for almost two years I couldn’t find it at all. I feared they had taken this flavor off the market and replaced it with that terrible Lipton green tea with citrus in the plastic bottles. So when I found it again in the glass bottles last year, I jumped for joy and started drinking it again even at the ridiculous premium I had to pay. And then last week I saw this can in the store. I immediately picked it up and looked at the ingredient list: Sugar, citric acid, honey and lemon just like the stuff in the bottle. I bought it, took it home , mixed it up, and finally I had my tea at a reasonable price!! I can mix up like 20 bottles of this stuff with one can at like 30 cents a bottle. I’m saving like 25 bucks on every full can I use. Needless to say, I’m stocking up on this stuff.

I never really followed green tea and only had a few bottles from the machine in the past. My mom brought me some green tea in a quart from some brand and loved it. I took a chance buying this and omg this is the only thing i drink now! It is not super sweet but it has a nice taste. I bet this will come in handy during the summer hot streaks!

No complaints here. Will order again, recommend to others, and spend the money I saved buying this on something else.

If you like the green tea you can buy in bottles in the store, then this is the way to go.

No more having to recycle all those empty bottles, and a 12 pack of tea made using this stuff

costs me $1.85 – you can’t beat that, even when it is on sale in the stores.
